1. President Buhari To Depart Nigeria For Chad
President Muhammadu Buhari will on Saturday leave Nigeria for the Chad Republic to participate in the Extraordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD). This was disclosed in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
2. National Assembly Releases Details Of Its 2018 Budget
The eight National Assembly on Friday released details of its 2018 budget. The details were released in a tweet on Friday by the office of the Senate President.
3. APC Says Atiku Not A Nigerian, Reveals Nationality
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has claimed that former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is not a Nigerian by birth. The ruling APC argued that by virtue of his not being a Nigerian by birth, Atiku was not qualified to have contested the last presidential election.
4. Election Tribunal: INEC Responds To Atiku’s Petition
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has filed its response to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar’s petition and others. Yesterday, Thursday, was the deadline for the INEC and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to file their responses.
5. No Fuel Scarcity, NNPC Reiterates
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has again urged Nigerians to disregard reports of fuel scarcity trending on social media report due to the purported refusal by some oil marketers to lift products from depots was false. This is as Naija News reports that some Petrol stations are allegedly hoarding fuel due to information of fuel scarcity they received, during the week.
6. 21 Bodies Found Two Months After Mudslide At Goldmine
Liberian authorities yesterday confirmed that the bodies of 21 gold miners who died after a mudslide buried them two months ago have been recovered. According to the authorities, 45 miners were thought to have been trapped after the mudslide at the Gbanepea Mine in the lower Nimba County in central Liberia on Feb. 9.
7. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Speaks After Leaked ‘Bed Moment’ Video, Praises Wife
The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has praised his wife, Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, describing the “IPOB First Lady” as “intoxicatingly beautiful.” Naija News reports that the IPOB leader made this statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Friday.
8. Court Gives Saraki, Dogara, Akpabio, Others Five Days To Explain Defection Around Election Period
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara to respond to suit challenging their defection within five days. Justice Okon Abang who gave the ultimatum in his ruling today, also directed 18 senators, 36 House of Representatives members, the Attorney General of the Federation, INEC, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun to file and serve others their papers before April 18, when the suit is set for hearing.
9. How To Apply For 2019 N-Power Tax Recruitment
President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government is set to engage 3,700 volunteers in its N-Power tax empowerment scheme. Naija News reports that volunteers for N-Power will be selected to work as Community Tax Liaison Officers in their respective states of residence with the state’s tax authorities.

The draw for the 32nd African Cup of Nations (AFCON) was held Friday, 12th April 2019. The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group B against Madagascar, Burundi, and Guinea in the draw held at the foot of the famous pyramids in Egypt in front of the Sphinx, Egypt.
